Service and Outreach

Throughout the year, RIT Newman offers a variety of community outreach and service learning experiences.  In response to the call of Catholic Social Teaching, and recognizing how formative time spent with marginalized populations can be, we offer numerous options locally and beyond.

Paired with ministry sites of the Sisters of Saint Joseph throughout Rochester, the Tiger Stripes program invites students to share their personality and talents for afternoons and evenings all through the year.  Additionally, St. Sebastian’s Society offers various events for student athletes to come together and enrich their community.  For a more immersive experience, a week-long service-learning trip is made every spring as an alternative to spring break, where students are able to fully appreciate the lifestyle of service.
