Student Leadership

Meet the Student Leadership Team:

Quynh-Thy Do
Eboard President

Thy is a 5th year Electrical Engineering Student from Houston, TX. Her journey with the Newman Catholic Community started her freshman year and she has been involved ever since. The Newman Catholic Community has helped her grow in my faith and has been her home at RIT and she hopes it continues to be that for many students. In her free time she enjoys practicing yoga, playing violin and guitar, and being outdoors as long as it’s not cold.

Greg Koszkul
Eboard Vice President

Greg is a 3rd year Civil Engineering Tech major from Stamford, CT. Realizing his interest in being a leader on campus, he took on a role on the Newman Eboard this year with the vision of bringing the Catholic Community together at RIT. He has expanded his leadership roles to several other clubs and organizations on campus and has seen major success in just the few weeks of being involved. In the upcoming semester, Greg is looking to help students realize the importance of having a support network such as Newman and to show them just how much joy each of us finds in being apart of it. When he finds the time, Greg enjoys playing basketball, football, playing the piano along with his band and volunteering in the community with his philanthropic fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi.

George Matta
Eboard Treasurer

George is continuing his role as treasurer for the RIT Newman Catholic Community. He majors in Mechanical Engineering Technology with minors in Packaging Science and Arabic with a hope to work in the medical field. Born in Byblos, Lebanon, he moved to the US with his family in 2001. He hopes to diversify the community through the expansion of events. He maintains a healthy lifestyle through sports and working out with activities such as hiking, fishing and hunting. His hobbies include reading and playing chess in his free time as well as being a personable and talented barber for many of his friends!
